Jim is a native of Sheffield having lived in the Shoals Area all his life. He has a great love for this area and knows firsthand what a great quality of life we enjoy in Northwest Alabama. He has been married for 34 years to Sandra and is the proud father of two children, Jamie who is a Program Technician with the U.S. Department of Agriculture and Jennifer Northrup, a library media specialist at Gwin Elementary School in Hoover, AL.

Jim learned good customer service early in life, having worked in the family business, Prides Cleaners since his teen years. In 1985, he took over ownership of the family business and carried on the Pride tradition of unequaled customer service to thousand of satisfied customers. Jim sold the family business in 2006 in order to pursue other business interests.
